While it’s exciting to be abroad, it can also be overwhelming or lead to questions about where to start. Abuddies is here to help with the fun and uneasy feelings. We, as a community, want to create a space to get information about anywhere and simultaneously be a connector to people, places, food, and more. The Founders:
Meet Lauren: Hi!!! I studied abroad in spring 2026, and I got to see so many cool things and meet so many amazing people. Since I studied in France, I was able to take a train to Milan, Italy and watch the Winter Olympics – this was one of my favorite memories. I can’t wait for you to make your own memories! I know there’s a lot to consider when going abroad, so I hope Abuddies can help you on your adventure.
Meet Isadora: Hi!! I’m Brazilian and a total adventure‑lover. I actually lived in Lyon when I was one year old, and ever since then I’ve been obsessed with exploring new places. I’m always chasing mountains, snow, and any trail that promises a good story at the end. If you’re into travel tips, snowy adventures, or discovering hidden paths around the world, I’ve got plenty to share. I can’t wait for you to create your own unforgettable moments — and I hope Abuddies helps guide you through every step of your journey!
Meet Maria: Hi, I studied abroad for 4 years and I know how exciting- but also challenging- it can be to start a new life in a different country. I’ve experienced the confusion of figuring things out on my own, the moments of loneliness, and the effort it takes to build new friendships from scratch.
